2024 Tech Titans Awards Gala Nomination Portal

 

 


Nominate companies and individuals who are transforming the high-tech industry and are a driving force for technological innovation in North Texas. Tech Titans defines the North Texas as the 11 counties in the DFW North Texas region including Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise counties. Award category descriptions and examples are below.  

There is NO fee to nominate and you are welcome to self-nominate you or your own company. You may nominate for multiple categories in which you qualify for. After your nomination is submitted, it will be reviewed by our nominating committee for final approval. Certain categories may require your availability for a virtual interview and you will be notified of these dates while completing your nomination.  All semi-finalists are required to do an IN PERSON Interview with our Judging Panel the Tuesday, JULY 16 OR Wednesday, JULY 17 (specific times to be announced). Please be aware that everyone who is named a finalist (or winner) will be required to attend the Awards Gala on Friday, September 20th at the Renaissance Hotel in Addison

DEADLINE FOR NOMINATION SUBMISSIONS is June 11th at 11:59pm.

2024 Tech Titan Gala Categories

COMMUNITY HERO

The Tech Titans Community Hero award recognizes an individual employed by a North Texas technology company for outstanding achievements in community service to the North Texas area.

CORPORATE CEO AWARD 

The Tech Titans Corporate CEO award recognizes the CEO or Division President of a technology company having a corporate headquarters or a division office in North Texas. The company has a 2023 operating revenue of more than $200 million.

CORPORATE CIO/CTO AWARD 

The Tech Titans Corporate CIO/CTO award recognizes the Chief Information Officer or Corporate Technology Officer or Chief Science Officer or Chief Digital Officer of a North Texas based technology or non-technology company for exceptional technical leadership that fostered the development or deployment of new technology resulting in significant value for the company. The company has 2023 operating revenue of more than $200 million.

CORPORATE INNOVATION AWARD 

The Tech Titans Corporate Innovation award recognizes a company for outstanding innovation and unique accomplishments through recent or potential breakthrough technology or approach within the technology industry in North Texas for which the company owns the intellectual property or proprietary property/method OR innovated by adopting another company’s intellectual property. The company must have a corporate headquarters or a division office in North Texas with 2023 operating revenues of more than $200 million.

EMERGING COMPANY CEO AWARD 

The Tech Titans Emerging Company CEO award recognizes the CEO of a technology company headquartered in North Texas with 2023 operating revenues of at least $2 million but not more than $200 million.

EMERGING COMPANY CIO/CTO AWARD 

The Tech Titans Emerging Company CIO/CTO award recognizes the Chief Information Officer or Corporate Technology or Science Officer of a North Texas based technology or non-technology company for exceptional technical leadership that fostered the development or deployment of new technology resulting in significant value for the company. The company must have 2023 operating revenues of at least $2 million but not more than $200 million.

EMERGING COMPANY INNOVATION AWARD

FAST TECH 

Fast Tech, a Tech Titans Award, recognizes the fastest growing technology, telecommunications and/or life sciences company in North Texas. Fast Tech Award finalists are determined based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2021-2023.

By submitting the nomination form, the company agrees to publicly disclose its percentage revenue growth. The percentage revenue growth is computed as :[( FY’2023 revenue - FY'2021 revenue) / FY'2021 revenue] x 100%. Tech Titans will not disclose actual current and base year revenue amounts.

HALL OF FAME AWARD 

The Tech Titans Hall of Fame award honors a North Texas technology visionary for outstanding leadership in assisting, advancing and accelerating the performance of the technology industry and/or adoption of technology in North Texas; spanning more than one decade and reaching far beyond the individual’s company/organization. Only individuals are eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame including corporate leaders and technologists, non-profit individuals, venture capitalists, educators, entrepreneurs, inventors and individual contributors. The award may be given posthumously. The frequency and selection of inductees is at the discretion of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee.

START UP COMPANY CEO AWARD 

The Tech Titans Start Up Company CEO award recognizes the CEO of a technology company headquartered in North Texas with 2023 operating revenues of no more than $2 million.

TECHNOLOGY ADVOCATE AWARD 

The Tech Titans Technology Advocate award recognizes a North Texas individual or company whose core business is not a technology product for outstanding leadership in championing, assisting, advancing or accelerating the performance of the technology industry in North Texas.

TECHNOLOGY INVENTOR AWARD 

The Tech Titans Technology Inventor award recognizes the pioneering accomplishments of a person, team or group responsible for the creation of technical breakthrough ideas, processes or products which have advanced the discipline. The nominee is with a North Texas company or institution.

2024 Tech Titan of the Future Award Categories

COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY LEVEL AWARD 

The Tech Titans of the Future University Level award recognizes an accredited educational institution in the North Texas area that encourages and supports students to choose engineering and technology related disciplines as a preferred career path. This award category spotlights North Texas higher educational institutions' technology related curricula and incentives to perpetuate tech-related knowledge transfer. The award finalists display creative, innovative approaches that reach out to students and other learning-minded professionals and related institutions. The nomination requires testimonials from two current or former students, educators or other individuals who have excelled or benefited from this program.

HIGH SCHOOL MATH/SCIENCE TEACHER AWARD 

The Tech Titans of the Future High School Level Award recognizes a North Texas high school (grades 9-12) math or science teacher for development and implementation of an innovative teaching technique or program that inspires student interest regarding further educational and/or career pursuits in science, technology, engineering or math. The teaching technique or program must demonstrate opportunity for students to gain applied knowledge. Only one teacher per school may be nominated. A lesson plan may be included in the nomination. The nomination requires testimonials from two current or former students.
